President Richardson renames NASA to NCSA.
COCOA BEACH, FL May 16, 2009:

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is being renamed to the National Climate and Space Administration. The president told agency employees from the floor of the Vehicle Assembly Building that "The spaceship we focus on now is the one that we are all standing on."

"Climate research has long overshadowed propulsion research at NASA, so the name change to NCSA is natural" agency director James Hansen said.

Richardson will address before a special joint session of Congress on Monday. Part of his address will include plans for a new program for the NCSE, called "Gaea".

"Think Apollo" Hansen said.
