Vincent Bugliosi first gained national attention as the prosecutor who convicted Charles Manson for murder. And after a career as one of the county's most successful prosecutors, he has written a series of true crime books, covering the Manson Family, the Kennedy assassination, and the O.J. Simpson case. His most recent book, the Prosecution of George W Bush for Murder, has been almost completely ignored by the mainstream media.

On October 17th 2008, while on a speaking tour promoting the book, Mr. Bugliosi granted an interview with Velvet Revolution, in which he discusses the case against George W Bush.

Charlotte Dennett, Progressive candidate for Attorney General in Vermont, has pledged that if elected she will bring murder charges against Bush, and will appoint Mr. Bugliosi special prosecutor. Donate to her campaign at http://www.charlottedennettforattorneygeneral.com/index.htm

6. Bugliosi, first as special prosecutor. . .
. . .for the war crimes of GWB, Cheney. . .

but I sure would like him as our next Attorney General in an Obama administration. . .

hard to choose as he would be stellar in either appointment.

Support Vermont candidate for Attorney General,

Charlotte Dennet

who is the one AG who answered Bugliosi's plea to any AG willing to set the prosecution of GWB into motion.. . .her victory would start that ball rolling because she pledges to do so and appoint Bugliosi prosecutor in the case!

(Charlotte here with her husband, writer Gerard Colby)

Praying and H O P I N G for Dennet and Bugliosi!

7. WOW!
The point about why Clinton got impeached and persecuted at the drop of a hat vs Bush eating live babies in the middle of a State of the Union Address and nary a peep from anybody is pretty profound.

The people that could bring Bush to Justice do nothing for the same reason a cop would not want to go after the Mafia - FEAR!

Well, lawmakers are perfectly fine with sending our young people off to die for their country.

It is now time for our lawmakers to start doing their job and if some are murdered in the process, history will at least remember them as heros and patriots, willing to die to protect the principals this country is based on.

10. That was very interesting. I've never heard this argument explained so clearly...
...before this. I knew Bush was guilty, but this is something significant. I've gotta get this book!

11. Why is outrage and anger against bush considered something that must be repressed?
I think there are others like Mr. Bugliosi, like myself, like many other people who come to DU, that are disgusted, shocked and livid that bush can live it up while soldiers bleed and die and perhaps up to a million people lie rotting in their graves. All based on lies and a rush to war. It is just sickening that we have been successfully marginalized.

13. I know folks want justice but ... if we just leave them alone maybe they will go peacefully. ..
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 04:17 PM by barack the house
In a fair world yes, they would say fair call you got me but these folks won't do that. Can we just let them go so we can see a calm transition of power. Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't have faith in what they might pull if we try to corner them. It's not that I'm backing them up or anything I just wish this goes smoothly and civil if we possibly can. Am I alone?

17. So they can come back in 2012, 2016, or 2020???
Edited on Sat Nov-01-08 05:13 PM by Toonces27
With the same or worse crimes, smears, and lies??? I don't think so! Where do you think they'll go? They're not simply going to fade away - they'll be smearing President Obama relentlessly so they can regain power the next time around. They need to be made example of so this never happens again.

Also media will smaer Obama with or without a bush. I understand your anger as much as anyone, and if it was a fair and just world I'd say go for it, but I'm only being real.

19. You're being complacent, not real.
President Clinton didn't go after these criminals and look where our country is today. We'll have to wait and see whether Senator Obama will go after them, but if an AG from Vermont and Bugliosi are willing to expose them for what they are, I say give 'em hell!

If nobody does anything about them, they'll be back 4 - 8 years from now.

20. Here Here!
What if they had said this sort of thing about the Nazis? "Oh, the German people have been through enough- Let's not make the transition any rougher for them. Just let Hermann Goring retire and fade quietly into history..."
