Millennials are the largest generation in American history. Born between 1978 and 2000, WE are 95 million strong, compared to the 78 million Baby Boomers. WE are politically, socially, and philosophically independent, and are spearheading a period of sweeping change in America and around the world. The new book, Generation We, explains the emerging power of our Millennial Generation, and shows how WE (and older people who think the way WE do) are poised to change our nation and our world for the better.

2. So Boomers Raised GREAT KIDS
I wish Generation WE would realize that little ditty. Otherwise, fantastic ad.

Oh, and 1976 looked pretty much like it does today. In many ways, much worse. These kids wouldn't have technology if it weren't for some geezer that invented all of it. They might want to remember that little ditty too.

5. I think kids today are much better informed. I don't know if that's
because of the technology at their fingertips or more curiosity, but in 1976, at around their age, I wasn't half as knowledgeable or interested.

And the environment wasn't an issue like it is now; that's a biggie for kids today.

7. The Cuyahoga River on fire?
The Dirty Dozen? Earth Day? Maybe it was because I lived in California, but yes, protecting the environment has been a huge issue my entire life. I hate to think the mess they'd have if we hadn't done anything the way they seem to think.

I think the Millenials are a terrific generation, I think they're just a bit misinformed about boomers.

Earth Day, even now. See? But I grew up in NY and had other more trivial interests in my 20s.

I'm sorry everyone is reflexively so negative about this video. I think people are taking the kids' comments way too personally.

We do have severe problems that need correcting; I'm glad they're aware enough to want to do something about it.

10. I think Millenials are a great generation
I just think they're a bit misinformed about boomers, particularly since boomers are the ones who raised them. I am not even a fan of most boomer trends, but I get a little tired of both Gen X and now these Millenials, trashing us. I like the video a lot and am glad you posted it.

6. You don't? Well maybe that's because the 'We' generation is
doing this all by themselves. No help from anyone else. Just their little selves out canvassing and calling.

:sarcasm:

11. Everyone Needs To Stop

Hating on the future. We can no longer bring hate and cynical condensation into the forum of hopeful conversation. I'm not in the clouds where just and practical observation is not needed, but look around you; where do we stand as a people? Both nationally and globally we continue down this arrogant misguided path of holding on to familiarities that provide a false sense of security. Even if you're rich do you not feel the fabric of human existence becoming so much cheaper? The value of money just provides a certain ease of living, but what about conscience? We are all in this together, young and old, blue and red and races worldwide. It's about time we stop what we are doing and go across the street and do something new. Obama will be the spark SOCIALLY, politically only time will tell. Don't doubt these new kids on the block, they have to do what they have to because of the scraps that are gonna be left for them.

12. There were only scraps in 1979
I faced 10% unemployment rates and 15% mortgage rates. It's been bad before. The boomers were going to be the first generation with a declining standard of living - until the internet boom. Young people are terrific and I am so glad they're taking up the challenges that face the planet, but they really aren't the first to have done so.
