4. Great. I saw "Unprecedented" after the 2000 election, and I'm conviinced we are living under an
unelected presidency. And, what a difference it has made.

9. It was much more than that. There was a lot of voter suppression going
on. Why wasn't there big 10 hour long lines in Republican districts? Why did the white and republican districts have as many voting machines as they needed, but the poor black, and Democratic districts were short changed? Why was Kenneth Blackwell given unsupervised access to the main tabulator? Would you want the co chair of one candidate unsupervised access to the main tabulator? That's what went on in Ohio. Blackwell was in charge of the election in Ohio and he was co chair of the bush campaign in Ohio.

Remember Katherine Harris? She was in charge of the election (Sec of State) in Florida in 2000 and was the chairman of the bush campaign in Florida/

Even if nothing bad happens, a Sec of State should not be running a political campaign for one of the candidates on the ballot. If they are running for reelection, they should take a leave of absence or resign.

12. There was also the case where a county locked out observers
citing a "terrorist threat." There was no threat. Some counties got cheat sheets, showing them how to change the count. Black communities suffered voter suppression. They were given incorrect info on when and where to vote.

15. The LOCK DOWN occurred in Warren County Ohio...
and the BOE workers, both Democratic and Republican, saw no tampering with the ballots. An investigation and a review of the ballots was done by a bipartisan group and the unanimous conclusion is nothing wrong went on with the ballots in Warren County and the count was correct. Those are the facts but you are free to ignore the facts if you so wish. Now what happened in Cuyahoga and Claremont Counties, one can only say election fraud was more than likely rampant in those counties.

I was a presiding judge at one of the precincts in Warren County (Democratic worker) and the lines were very long. Most of the precincts in the county have a wide majority of Republicans because the county is 88% Republican. There was a 1-3 hour wait at the precincts in Warren County until about 3-4 PM and it was cold and rainy that day. Because of the Constitutional Amendment to ban gay marriages in Ohio the right-wing fundies came out of the woodwork to vote which also happened state-wide.

My biggest disappointment was the large number of provisional ballots that were cast. The sad thing is they were mostly Democrats who had moved and forgot to change their address. We made every effort to see that those people went to the correct precinct to cast their vote. From what I was told by the workers at the Warren County BOE (the Democrats that I know there) the provisional ballots were counted and included in the total count for Warren County.

17. Warren County is a mess and controlled by the repukes...
We finally have a active Democratic Party here and the demographics is slowly changing! The 88% republican numbers are not really true. I would say it is more like 70-30 split based on the recent elections. Some Democrats register as republican so they can have a voice in the primary elections, which in reality should be considered the general election because Democrats usually don't run and if they do they don't win in the general election. There are no elected Democrats in Warren County at this time nor have there been for many years. I have heard the last Democrat to hold a seat in Warren County was in the 1940's but I can't get that verified. The republicans are very smug here.

For me there is no way I could register as a republican. The thought of doing it makes my skin crawl.

with lots of experience and drive. It is going to take time and a big demographic shift. Warren County is full of right-wing religious nut cases with money!

20. Keep plugging away. Be visible. Do a lot of meet and greets. Do
voter ID. Make your presence known. Let them see you as a real live human being, not some horned, forked tongue creature. It could take years to see progress, but it will pay off. Be a good listener, and have a good come back. You can

Smile.
