1. Bill Maher ended this interview stating that , "...Religion Warps Their Brains."
Referring to his desire that Sen. Obama is faking being religious, and Bill Maher's desire for a secular president. If there was a religion that was open to change, able to accept the results of scientific investigations, allowed free thought, and did not impose obedience, first off, please someone tell me of it, but this religon would not be a tyranny upon the people. I am not threatened by a Secular President. I am concerned about a person who does not attempt to be circumspective in her/his opinions.

Bill Maher has stated that there is a difference between being religious and being spiritual. I strive to be connected with what I believe to be a spiritual connection, but having studied most of the major (in population) religious beliefs of humanity, I am greatly concerned about the effects on a person's mind, who has certainty about the nature of cosmic truth. I also think that this is dangerous. Certainty, like G. Bush's certainty, has hurt our nation.

3. Hes not really saying hes faking it.
Hes saying it's hard to say whether he is, or isn't because he has to act it either way.

6. Buddhism meets your criteria
as it was originally constructed, if not how it's currently practiced. The Buddha said (I'm paraphrasing), "Do not believe what anyone tells you, if it does not accord with your observation and good sense, even if it is I who tell you."

2. I think almost all of the politicians that proclaim their faith are exaggerating.
They might go to church and play the role, but I think most of them just want to stay in office and being non-religious is toxic in American politics.
