McCain is all over the map on things, continuously contradicting himself. The only way she could avoid being at odds with one of the various McCain's out there would be to stay home.

What we're really seeing is McCain the hothead, impulsive, reckless, not willing to organize a competent campaign staff, and most certainly not willing to listen to them.

about why they wanted them sitting next to each other: as a safeguard against palin making one more stupid, incipid remark. She cannot be trusted in front of a camera--she is too blinded by the bright lights. Sometimes, I think she has the same level of maturity as her attention-monger daughter, Piper.
