he seemed like O'Reilly's doppelganger here. While I applaud him for interrupting her when she changed the subject, Obama's adviser changed the subject as well and he did not get interrupted. He was definitely attacking, maybe rightly so, but he probably spent more time talking then his guests combined. He was not play hi nrole as a journalist. Yes, they should absolutely be required to call out a guest's BS (and Palin's for that matter), but we can't have this kind of dialogue, even if your guest is full of shit. This is what Fox News does, it's just that they have a right-wing agenda.

The Constitution says the VP will "preside over the Senate" which implies a role in the Senate for the VP. Just because that role is small doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Also, we of course know that Cheney has been involved in pressuring GOP Senators to vote strictly along party lines. Being a strong arm in the Senate means being involved in legislative decisions, as well as involved in getting appointments approved, etc.

Seems like a dumb argument. There is plenty of other ridiculous things that SP has said that would make much more sense to point out.

Look...she's a stooge for the person she works for. She will not say anything disparaging towards the people who sign her checks; she will not see any mistakes or loopholes in the words of those she works for. She's a smart woman and she knows in every respect that Palin is a festering joke and completely unqualified; but...she's not going to say it because it will damage McCain...HER BOSS.

So...she smiles and tries to use that fake smile to "play nice" and avoid and deflect questions that she knows the answers to, but will hurt her man. I'm sure that when she's at home watching the news, she wants to vomit when listening to Palin...and yet, it's her job to defend her at all costs.

When you know someone is wrong, stupid or guilty and trying to sell their innocence or qualities to a country that already knows the truth is very complex, and when no one is fooled by the fake smile and cute laugh, and when you can't answer direct questions honestly for the greater good, but dishonestly for the lesser evil...you sell more than your dignity, respect and social standing...you sell your soul.
