1. I wish all the repukes would fly off to not-real-somewhere
and let the rest of us get back to rebuilding our country.

3. F Nancy Ptofenhauer, her dazzling white teeth and the horse they rode in on.
Edited on Sat Oct-18-08 02:11 PM by BerryBush
And I say that as a person from Ohio.

What right has she got to say which parts of any state are "real" and which are not? She'll be surprised to discover they ALL get the same distribution of electoral votes.

And she repeated this meme about how Americans want to be able to "keep" the money they make. Damn straight--rich people want to "keep" the money they make and not share a dime of it with anyone who's working hard and struggling but getting nowhere. They don't want to contribute a dime to anything they and everyone else uses and takes advantage of. They want working people to pay for it all, while they "keep" their money to themselves. They will also gladly accept corporate welfare, which they will "keep" as rightfully theirs. Any other form of welfare, as they see it, is just lazy people trying to chisel off them.

Not. This. Time.

6. Nancy Mitchell-Pfotenhauer
And Mr. Pfotenhauer works for the Mortgage Bankers Association of America--what's that tell you? Special interest mime anyone. McCain as Christopher Hitchins told that insufferable bottle blonde miserable wench Laura Ingraham, "McCain has lost capacity and Palin is a dangerous fool" as Laura The Unloved wigs out. McCain is as washed up as a presidential candidate as is Bill Ayers and David Horowitz are old washed up l960's radicals.

The rest of the USA is moving on and we have GOP talking heads and Capitol Hill special interest mouthpieces putting a Happy Face on a political trainwreck! It's going to be fun watching I-95 choked up with moving vans as the Mass Exodus of Right Wingnuts head back out into the hinterlands in search of honest labor with their self-esteem tattered. Evidentally, Miss Mitchell-Pfotenhauer doesn't think she lives in the so called "Real Virginia" there in Oakton. That ought to play well in Richmond when another McCain Gaffe makes it way there Monday Morning!

17. "Real" nice, Pfotenhauer.
I am tired of the Republicans bashing the non-redneck parts of this country. McCain and Palin are counting on the ignorance of their electorate to get them into the White House. The Republicans don't want education for all, because an educated public tends to vote Democrat.

Between Davis and Pfotenhauer, I am in danger of vomiting out my innards.

9. Amazingly enough I sort agree with the Repuke-
I live in Northern Virginia, and I've been saying for years (decades, even) that NoVA isn't like the rest on VA. We have South to the South of us. South to the East and West of us. Even South to the North of us. We're like an oasis in the middle of Bumpkinland. Seriously, 20 miles in any direction and you will not be in Kansas anymore. But all this talk of NoVA not being 'Real' Virginia... What, should we all devolve back into rednecks and be one big, happy, red state again? (Remember when it was "Better dead than red"?) Tell that to the people in the Norfolk/ Newport News/ VA beach area who are also going blue. Take those and NoVA away, and you're left with Richmond and a bunch of trailer parks.

This is true of just about any metro area....except maybe LA because of sprawl. 20 Miles outside NYC and you're in for a surprise too.

But if Fairfax isn't "Real" stuck up VA....just like in Hampton and Norfolk or over in "Jefferson Country" or "the horse and cattle country" like Charlottesville... then I don't know what is. "Real VA" has been looking down its nose at its neighbors for centuries. Now they're just doing it to themselves. Watch out "real" VA.... you already lost West VA, you might lose North VA as well.

10. I really detest it...
...when they claim the U.S. has such a high standard of living. I live in Germany and I can honestly say that the standard of living here is much higher than in the U.S. Being from Florida I know what it's like to drive through rural areas consisting of tin shacks with no electricity. You have the impression of being in a developing country. You never see that here.

She needs to pull her head out of her bony ass.

11. So. "real" Virginia isn't where most Virginians live.
"Real" America isn't where most Americans live. I guess the fewer people, the "realer" a place becomes?

The GOP doesn't realize that acreage doesn't vote - PEOPLE do.

14. Another McCain adviser...
...who will now disappear from the airwaves after a terrible, boner of a gaffe that she had a chance to get out of, but was actually too stupid to even try.

These people are clowns, y'all. Obama's got this one. That's not complacency, BTW, it's confidence.

15. between her and Palin, they are really trying to divide people
We are all Americans. Some are not more 'equal' than others. No one is better than someone else. Are they trying to build certain segments up to believe they are better than others? That leads to abuses of others. This is another dangerous game they are playing. What does it say about people in the McCain camp that they are so comfortable excluding others and so willing to do it?

19. She Used A Lot of Buzz Words There
Northern VA has a lot of folks moving down from D.C. WTF????? There happens to be all kinds of people who have moved to this area from all over the US, not just D.C. Also, SO WHAT if they were from D.C.? The fact is that Obama's message is resonating loud and clear with many in this area and state. It just reminds me of those damn McCain/Palin Country signs that they have had to remove several times from major intersections in this area. They are scared because McCain is losing ground in what used to be a sure thing state. This is just typical BS from that idiotic, no talent lobbyist hack who fancies herself as a mind reader. Idiot!
