American citizens are witnessing a very interesting event in
American politics. A political party that enjoyed a near
stranglehold in Congress and control of all branches of
government for the better part of two terms, a party that got
nearly everything it asked for and granted nearly everything
asked of it by a Republican President, a party that faced a
comedy of spineless, worthless opposition in the Democratic
party, a party that has always prided itself on fiscal
responsibility, small government, personal freedom and moral
fidelity has so completely and enormously failed at all of its
foundational principals that it has developed a kind of PTSD
or PFAD- Post Failure Accountability Disorder.

Maybe you've heard of this moral, budgetary and ethically
superior party, they are called Republicans. This disastrous
and costly testimony to the utter failure of right wing
ideologies Americans have been sold has been led by the
currently invisible embarrassment, George W. Bush. A fortunate
son of wealth and privilege that sold himself to right wing
dupes as a regular guy, a guy you'd like to have a beer with,
a cowboy, no matter he's from Connecticut was a Princeton
cheerleader and his daddy was head of the CIA and President of
the United States. So you get an idea of the cognitive
dissonance we're dealing with here?

As Republicans run from the super-stinky fart of failure that
they just planted squarely under our nostrils they are
twisting themselves up into all kinds of funny shapes like
animal balloons only much less entertaining and enlightening.
In my previous segment I mentioned moral equivalency- whereby
if a Republican calls a Democrat a domestic terrorist
sympathizer and the Democrat calls the Republican unstable-
the two are morally equal in the unstable mind of the
rightist.

Well here's another desperate reach at a false equivalency.
Right now the Republican party is desperate to hide from
itself and the trail of devastation it is responsible for and
will do anything to create a distraction and place the blame
on Democrats. One of the canards of the day is the
"Democrat majority". Have you heard this one?

5. They started with a budget surplus and pissed it down a rat hole.
That must be what they meant by "trickle-down" economics.

6. They have a simple explanation;
anything that went wrong under the Clinton administration was President Clinton's fault and everything that has gone wrong during Dubya's reign is also President Clinton's fault. Republican No Fault governance.
