For those of you following the saga of Joe 'the Plumber', you may know that he was linked to Charles Keating, of Keating Five fame, by McCain supporter Martin Eisenstadt. But what's the deal with this guy, Eisenstadt? Now there's a documentary expose on him called - appropriately enough - "The Last Republican." It's a pretty facinating look behind the scenes of a neocon pundit and what really goes on with a McCain surrogate. (this was the same guy who was advocating casinos in the Green Zone!)

I just read your blog. That's amazing. You know, I posted that casinos-in-the-Green-Zone video here a few months ago, and thought it was suspiciously satirical (Firedoglake thought so, too). I've had a google-alert up for Eisenstadt since then, but didn't notice the assistant looking like the Iraqi interviewer. good eye! I can't believe that many people followed this guy down the Keating trail.
