2. Biden Was on Fire ...
At the 2:42 mark:

"The one thing I find, the one thing I find about this city, is what we learned in our faith and our family. There is the one most serious abuse, a man or a woman or a government can engage in, is to abuse power, abuse power."

3. The worst abuse is the abuse of
Power! Wonder if everyone got that at the rally?

4. Yet another reason to love Joe biden
He's an honest, decent man who's not afraid to tell it like it is. He makes me proud to be from Pennsylvania. K & R

7. That hug was a little too friendly :)
But Hillary's right, if they win Pennsylvania, there's no way they lose in November.

9. I think it was fine....
They really appear to be close, and Joe and Jill just suffered a painful loss...

They were both awesome....

peace~

8. OMFG I dunno what to do if Palin gets VP in Nov.
Talk about an expert at abusing power. It will be another 4 years of Bush, she doesn't even have to warm up before she starts breaking the law.

10. Sorry, but Biden is about as clear as McCain in this event
Truly, he says nothing for 2 minutes, repeats himself numerous times, and basically drove me away with his Homey, Vacuous rhetoric.

I want the executive summary, his position, and then reaction of the crowd. Repeat. He drags it on for too long, and this is why Paalin did so well in the VP Debate.

I hate to say it, but Biden reminds me of my Grandmother, and she had more sense and spunk at 80 than this man does on the stump.

Does anyone else feel disappointed in Biden, the DLC lap dog latched into Obama's vision?

11. Not me
I've been a big Biden fan for a long time and I think he has been an extraordinary nominee. Palin did well in the debate because she was well rehearsed and didn't answer a lot of questions.

This is a great ticket. We are very fortunate.

12. Are we watching the same guy?
Ever since the VP debate, I'm more in love with Biden than with Obama. Every time I hear him, I'm so drawn to him and wonder how it is that he was off my radar until now (totally my loss). I agree with the other poster, he would make a great prez. I hope we have 8 years of Obama followed by 8 years of a Biden presidency. He's got a lot of heart. His wife and his kids are lucky to have him. We are lucky to have him.

We all have preferences for communication etc. Joe really communicates in a way that is similar and relatable to me, but I can see how someone with a different preference or style might not connect as well. This is something we can all learn; to speak in many different styles to reach more people with our message. As a corporate communications person, I would guess that you prefer your information in data, facts, the bottom line and clear measurable objectives as well as exec summaries, correct? Keep in mind, he needs to reach people who communicate more emotionally, or with a need for more details or those who are more conceptual. Many of these styles and preferences conflict. Joe is great at the emotional appeal but that is the opposite of what I'm guessing is your style.

He's actually doing a very good job of blending multiple styles so that he can be understood. To communicate in only one two styles decreases the effectiveness of the message. Next time you listen to him, listen for the different ways he communicates the same message. He's really a very good communicator.

13. And ironically Joe is the "data and facts" guy
He can rattle off statistics and data effortlessly, but he is restraining himself right now so he can be more effective. I agree, he is doing a good job of blending multiple styles - he is a real pro.
