2. That's a powerful statement!

Being approximately the same age as Ms. Robbens, I understand how she's come to her convictions. Like her, I was inspired by JFK and sensitized to politics in 1960. My wife and I went door-to-door in black neighborhoods, passing out JFK literature and encouraging people to register. Not since his death have I felt similar hope and optimism. But Obama brings it all back. We're at the dawn of a new day.

3. What a wise and wonderful woman.

My heart went out to her, when she told of her friend's remark to her.
I too am an old women. Two weeks ago,while shopping,something like this
happened to me. Saw a women I have known for 20 years.She is a lovely person.
We do not share our belief on religion however. She is an Evangelical Pentecostal.
We saw each other and started to hug. She saw my Obama button,jerked back and slapped
my hands away. She hurried away from me as if I was the demons she is always fighting.
Have to admit, it broke my heart. I too just walked away.Yes I still care a lot about
her. She is even older then me, ten years older. I can only imagine the fear that she
is living with as the result of her church. Breaks my heart.

8. The anger I carry bothers me

not at my old friend. Anger at Mc nasty and Ms Snarky has me in tears. How
could they run their campaign on fear like this?

You don't know how bad I would just like to hug my old friend and tell her that
it is going to be ok. Tell her, Obama will take away your fear and fill your heart
with hope.

My friend and I may not have that many years left and what MC nasty and Ms Snarky
have done to my friend is unforgivable.

I too am a woman of that certain age. I too have lived my life interested in the world around me. I have grown with the times and will continue to do so. I have seen many a campaign come and go and have always been a part of the political process. I have witnessed the deaths of great leaders who have been killed in the name of bigotry, greed, and the obsession for power. I have known great disappointment in who the people have chosen to lead this country. Today I have hope that voters will do the right thing and chose the right person to lead us out of the wilderness that we have been led into. That person is Barack Obama.
