To me that says he never sought treatment for the damage done during his years of captivity, which would explain a lot about his short fuse.
Combine is untreated PTSD with the fact that his nickname in high school was McNasty and there can be little doubt he has entitlement and anger issues.

He has always sounded like someone holding it all in, speaking strangely softly, while being purposefully menacing- if that makes any sense.

He's like a guy who is always 1 second away from smacking someone.
