14. The republicans really are frustrated

They are so unhappy that this Bill Ayres "Obama consorts with terrorists" thing isn't getting any traction with mainstream America. Hugh Hewitt had somebody on his show a day or two ago that was pushing on this guilt by association thing with Ayres as hard as he could, and they're just not getting it that it's not going to fly. Obama was eight freakin' years old when Ayres was doing his thing, and the wingnuts are mad that the FBI got called on the carpet for their COINTELPRO nonsense so that the charges against Ayres had to be dropped. Ayres certainly wasn't making any bombs by the time Obama had ended up working with the guy, but that doesn't matter to them. If they need an example of an "unrepentant terrorist", all they need to do is to go look in the White House.

The right wingers are getting ready for defeat. They are now saying that McCain's message is disorganized, that he is not stressing conservative principles, that he missed opportunities to make points against Obama.

They are trying to say that the messenger was wrong, but the conservative message is still correct. If only a different person was presenting it (a true conservative), then they would be winning. It is entertaining to watch.
