1. K&R- Everyone should see this
Too many morons think she won that debate just because she didn't drool all over herself. I noticed when I watched it that she avoided answering several questions, but this puts it in a whole new light. And yes, I noticed the McClellan gaffe at the time too.

2. This is an example of blending pictures with words to tell
a story that is not reflective ofthe responsibility of Obama. First, Obama cannot do anything about the fact that John McCain graduated at the bottom of his flying school. That he was shot down several times because of his poor understanding of flying. And it is so sad that the consequence of McCains lack of skill level to fly and get captured, and be a prisoner is really nothing Obama could help him with. I think at the time Obama was a small child. They have such unrealistic views.

4. The numbers
"That he was shot down several times because of his poor understanding of flying."

A lot of good pilots were shot down several times, and not due to poor flying ability. Your ability often doesn't have too much to do with your survival when you get a surprise visit from a SAM. According to the Daily Kos 3,032 US aircraft were shot down over Vietnam. Are you going to call all those pilots on a "lack of skill level to fly and get captured"?

You also don't even know what happened to McCain. He was only shot down once.

The first crash was during training, and it was his mistake as a trainee. Give him a break.

The second was purely his fault, flying too low and hitting power lines.

The third was a flameout. McCain did what he was supposed to do to get the engine started and it wouldn't, so he had to bail out.

The worst is that you count the plane McCain lost due to the accident on the Forrestal where someone accidentally fired a rocket into his plane while he was waiting for takeoff. That incident cost the lives of over 130 sailors and over 20 aircraft. Yet you'll chalk that up as a plane McCain lost due to incompetence.

Personal attacks based on deception are not constructive. Go with McCain's bad policies. Go with his medal inflation over the incident. It's easy and more constructive.
