2. I think that nearly every appearance
Edited on Mon Sep-29-08 07:56 AM by karynnj
since 2004 has been extremely clear, strong and very much to the point. Some issues do require explanation, but I can't think of anyone who has been better - especially this last year.

I am surprised that so many people write essentially what you wrote after each strong appearance. His speech at the 2008 convention that he wrote and which the Obama people did not vet because they trust him was the best speech at that convention (other than Obama's).

12. No - not bad, not bad at all
You were for him in Nov 2004 when it counted and see he is an asset to Obama and the party now. I think the huge disappointment in 2004 made it hard for many to see him afterwards. Had he not made the race so close, it could have been more like 1984 when I know I wanted Mondale to win, but I knew well before election day it wasn't going to happen.

3. Whoa - you go, John! Took him 22 hours to "rush" to DC to address the
crisis -- a one hour flight. Kerry was superb!

20. I wholeheartedly agree!
I was SICK that his run for the White House was not realized in the end. For my money - NO ONE speaks with more clarity and honesty than Kerry.

18. He has been on fire recently and I welcome his support!
The timing really couldn't be better. I was wondering about Obama's possible surrogates (like the Clintons), but Kerry and Clair McCaskill (spelling?) have been superb.

22. Well done, John
Thanks for doing this. Puts it all into perspective in less than 1 minute, 30 seconds. Hell, I could have run from NYC to DC in 22 hours and still done more than McGrumpy did when he got there.

Here's what frightens me: how far is he willing to go to win? I've seen very, very little 527 activity up to this point. Could get extemely ugly very soon.
