3. Rocky is great....This the first opportunity I had to see him.
Ya know, it is HIGH TIME that all Democrats boycott Fox talk-shows. The only reason they have a Democrat on is to play " Pin the tail on the Donkey"....No other purpose...None. Boycott them I tell ya. :applause:

4. Can't finish this. The selective editing infuriates me!!!!!!
Cowards! :argh: If people can't see, regardless of their political party, that O'Reilly was clearly clearly outmatched there is no hope for this country.

Rocky did great here. He handled O'Reilly's insults and bloviating perfectly.

5. By the way, in defense of Rocky....
many experts agree that there are different standards for impeachable and criminal conduct. In the words of Dean John D. Feerick of Fordham University School of Law, in an article published in 1984, "Most authorities agree--and the precedents are in accord--that an impeachable offense is not limited to conduct which is indictable. Conduct that undermines the integrity of a public office or is in disregard of constitutional duties or involves abuse of power is generally regarded as grounds for impeachment. Since impeachment is a drastic sanction, the misconduct must be substantial and serious."

Now we all know that we can pick from more than a dozen of crimes that Bush has committed while in office....so shut the F up Bill Oreilly!!!!

6. This was edited. They are scum
This type of thing is really an insult to our intelligence. You could clearly see the editing that took place, especially on the part about the NIE proving Bush was lying when he led us in to the war. Then after the interview, probably hours later, they edit in some more insults when Rocky can't defend himself. How do they continue to get away with this shit?

9. Yes, yes, just as all liberals are "kooky moonbats". See the problem with this line of thinking?

While some (or even most) Fox viewers may be unreachable, certainly ALL are not. We are in a battle of ideas and we need persuade every one we can to see the light. Divisiveness does not help the progressive cause, since the conservative cause relies on emotional response rather than higher reasoning. The 30% will probably always lean their way, however as evidenced by 9/11/01, "centrist" type people can be scared into following along as well.

13. I go to the rodeo to ride bulls
when I am on DU I let my feelings free
I think It inspires folks to act
it definatly helps me feel connected
and I fear complacency more than anything
I think the trouble with libs is
they don't stand up together and make serious noise
they don't push on the pendulum hard enuf to get it to move

I spend more time each day gathering information(love DU)
and speaking and protesting than anything else I do
everyone gets to choose their own way
what we have been doing thus far...ain't enough

15. Surely everyone will choose their own way. Personally, I believe we need to help foster
more open-minded critical thinking from "conservatives" and less get-tough generalizations from "progressives". The more we sink down to "their" level in order to win arguments in the short term, the more the national discourse is coarsened and cheapened in the long term. I do not see how that is beneficial. There is a difference between being assertive and being belligerent.

16. I believe
That our political parties have become a house of lords
both are so similar it is hard to see a difference
Bush is one in a line of imperialist oppressors
I want change outside of our current paradigm
to the socialistic end of the spectrum
away from the military expansionist racist exploiters we have been
into a peaceful nation of self sustaining responsible citizens
to get there will involve great social upheaval
it will be painfull for almost everybody
but it will happen only when the apple cart that is our economy
tips over
it is currently wobbling
IMHO

I completly appreciate and respect the ideals of communication and non confrontationalism.

10. I think so many people watch fox news because of fox itself
Edited on Wed Mar-21-07 09:35 PM by Pawel K
I haven't looked at the ratings but I'm going to make an educated guess here. Fox is probably the most popular network in primetime thanks to shows like American Idol, 24, Simpsons. Family Guy, House, and many others. So people that don't really pay too much attention flip on fox news when they want to watch cable news. This is why their ratings are so high and this is why they need to be called out on their bullshit.

14. This is precisely why Faux News should be shut out.
No Democrat should EVER appear on Faux News. It's time for Dean and the DNC to follow Edwards' lead. FNC is the propaganda arm of the RNC.

Democrats don't treat Michelle Malkin or Ann Coulter like journalists, so why lend Faux any credibility? Fuck 'em!
