and could conceivably get 9. I say the number will by 6,7 and maybe 8. But 5 look really good. And they add in the House significantly too.

I say that because unlike Clinton, Obama will have a clear majority. They can get things done relatively unencumbered. Or a lot of things anyway. I don't know about investigations on crimes from Bush etc, I'll believe that when I see them do it, but they should be able to get us on the right path and do a lot of good for our country without too much Republican hassle.

republican politicians just aren't very bright (sure, there are exceptions), but mostly, the people who have bought them are the ones with the brains and who call the shots. Just look at the lineup they offered in the primaries, I don't think they had a single person who could compare intellectually with Obama, Biden, Hillary, Dodd, or Kucinich. The people who are involved and are intelligent (Rove, Phil Gramm) tend to use their abilities solely to benefit a privileged few, but not society as a whole, though they try to present it that way.
