On Scarborough Country a video conference discuss the significance of Harriet Miers being jettisoned to save face at thee Whitehouse because of the Gonzales affair. Michael Crowley or the New Republic and Joan Walsh of Salon.com are shocked, I tell you - SHOCKED! A sour faced and silent (for once) Pat Buchanan scowls through it all.

All to protect who? They haven't got a clue but it looks like someone has got some explaining to do.

4. I had to giggle at the Chivalry is Dead comment
Err hun --Chilvary NEVER existed at the white house. It DOESN'T exist in the Republican Party! It's nice that someone is suddenly copping a clue, but jeebus! To mourn something that was NEVER there? :puke:

5. Poor moon-eyed Harriett Miers.....
her he-man, her one and only, "the best Governor this country has ever had", is throwing her under the bus to protect BUSH'S one and only, Rove. Poor Harriett!

I'll bet she still loves him though. She can "change him", he really DOES love and respect her, he's just under so much pressure and everyone else is to blame, not Bush. It's just like every other woman in an abusive relationship. Somehow it will be HER fault this all happened, and the sad thing is she'll still respect and adore Bush from afar after he's crapped all over her. :puke: "Bush loyalty" is a one way street, Harriett.

Most disgusting administration. EVER! :puke:

7. Joe has really had to pick up the pace since Keith became the fair-haired boy.
If he can't hold on to Keith's audience, he can't hold on to his job. With all his heart, he'd give anything to be joining Buchanan in defending Bush!

8. The last time I heard about Harriet Meiers
Edited on Fri Mar-16-07 11:14 AM by rocknation
She was identified as the person who briefed Bush on the Bin Laden presidental daily briefing (link). Back then, I asked, "But she's Bush's PERSONAL attorney--why would she be have access to something that classified?" Now I'm asking, "But she's Bush's PERSONAL attorney--why would she have the authority to implement decisions about firing US attorneys?" Is she being scapegoated all over again?
