http://www.crooksandliars.com/2008/09/18/epic-fail-palin-cant-answer-softball-question-about-national-security-experience-at-first-town-hall-meeting/

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Governor Palin, there has been quite a bit of discussion about your perceived lack of foreign policy experience. And I want to give you your chance. If you could please respond to that criticism and give us specific skills that you think you have to bring to the White House to rebut that or mitigate that concern.

PALIN: Well, I think because I’m a Washington outsider that opponents are going to be looking for a whole lot of things that they can criticize and they can kind of try to beat the candidates here, who chose me as his partner, to kind of tear down the ticket. But as for foreign policy, you know, I think that I am prepared and I know that on January 20th, if we are so blessed as to be sworn into office as your president and vice president, certainly we’ll be ready. I’ll be ready. I have that confidence. I have that readiness.

And if you want specifics with specific policy or countries, go ahead and you can ask me. You can even play stump the candidate if you want to. But we are ready to serve.

Your going to look like even more of an asshole than you do now. The debates are drawing near. Your worst nightmare is drawing near. The world will be watching Sarah... Your going to wish that you had a "stump" to crawl under you slimy asshole.

3. Palin's EPIC FAIL
Starts at 3:08... All this time and she can't answer, what should be for someone qualified, a simple question.

4. And there you have it... she steps aside like a Republican Wife
while McCain takes over. I don't know if anyone else picked up on this but she is nervous about having to answer questions even when the crowd is friendly. What will happen when she has to answer the really tough questions.

Republicans want to tell you that they have reformed their sexist, bigoted ways by putting a woman on the ticket but here is what I see. They hide her or sequester her like she belongs in the kitchen. They don't pick a woman who is more informed. They pick someone they mold to their liking. It seems insulting to put her out there simply because they need the womens vote. They think that many other women are clueless like she is, that they will accept any woman simply because she's a woman. They are using her for her gender, not because they have obliterated the good ole boy network. They don't stand behind women. This is mocking women. Not letting her speak to the real issues. That is sexist.

10. This is sheer misrepresentation.
McCain makes it sound like Palin forced the oil companies, bullied the oil companies, pit-bulled the oil companies (with lipstick of course) into that pipeline deal. Do you believe in a million years that Palin had to force the oil companies into building the natural gas pipeline? Do you believe in a million years that in the few months that Palin has been in office that pipeline was planned? Do you believe in a million years that she did more than tweak the terms of the contract in the few months she was in office (especially considering she was allegedly pregnant during that time)?

And -- most important -- did you hear a single word of any sources of energy that don't involve drilling or pipelines? Maybe I just missed it, but I didn't hear anything about alternative energy. I think that the Republicans are not serious about alternative energy -- not at all.

Mark my words, Palin is a trojan horse for the energy industry. I would bet that she was selected by the energy industry after marketing tests on various possible candidates. She looks so sweet and innocent in her $2500 Valentino and her diamonds. And she probably doesn't even understand herself what is going on. That is the beauty of it for the marketing branch of the oil industry/Republican Party.

11. Did I hear her right? The government is going to FORCE
oil companies to drill and sell the oil off shore to US? Wow, that's like nationalizing the oil industry. Do the oil companies know about this? What commies.

12. What a DILLWEED Dunce
If THIS is the caliber of better Republican minds in Alaska, then I know why the population there is so low. Damned few could stand to have something like this for a neighbor, let alone in a position of power! RE-:puke:s

14. McCain takes pride that Palin is in command ofAlaska National
Guard. And because of that and the fact that her son was deployed Sept 11th to Iraq qualifies her as having expertise regardiong our national security. What moosewash! She does not in fact command the National Guard in the area of foreign war deployment, that is the job of the Pentagon. The way McCain worded the Sept 11th deployment of her son connects somehow to the date of the attack on the Pentagon, some dumb clucks might actually feel Palin was in a position to be responsive to the Trade Tower attacks. The Palin/McCain duo is infuriating in their sickly slick pretensions.
