6. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vermont) spoke aboout Phil Gramm today

Senator Sanders, speaking in the Senate this afternoon, extensively discussed the current economic meltdown and former Senator Phil Gramm's direct responsibility for the unfolding events. Bernie went into specific detail about the various pieces of legislation passed by the GOP-controlled Congress, and championed by Phil Gramm as Chairman of the Banking Committee, that led directly to this massive financial crisis. He also talked about the role Gramm has played in formulating McCain's economic positions. It was a damning speech.
