4. He shows definite decline
I signed a petition that he take an Alzheimer's test but nothing came of it. He appears to be in a rapid decline in my opinion. There are definite differences from one year ot the next. He is a sick man. It is a bit wicked that the Bushie peeps are using him. I wonder what they have in store for Palin. She is an idiot. A ruthless idiot.

5. McCain has symptoms of long term alcoholism.
Note how his jowl swellings seem to change shape and go up and down? He appears to have asymptomatic enlargement of parotid glands- common in alcoholic cirrhosis. I have also noticed how his handlers dress him. He seems to move as if he is wearing a girdle - another symptom of cirrhosis would be a swollen abdominal area.

Unfortunately the mental effects of this are well documented - and very strongly resemble incipient alzheimers.

I know.. not another one, right?

7. It has certainly occurred to me
I remember Reagan in the early years of his presidency. I never agreed with him, but he had humor and seemed to enjoy the banter. He wasn't swift on policy, but he could cover it (to some degree), just with personality. Then in the second term, you could see a lot of it fading. Slowly, he seemed to really age, or was it more than that. Remember the clips of him being question by a report and Nancy off to the side, whispering answers?

I see the same thing, from the somewhat jocular McCain of 2000, holding his own with the press and enjoying it. This go-round, its not the same. Defensive? Maybe teetering on a bit of paranoia. At a loss for words and not being able to change the subject or talk around it, until the words come to him, but being stopped dead in his tracks. And finally, the clips of LIEberman having to whisper the answers to him.

At least with Reagan, it was on the way out of office, not on the way in.
