During the last election, my husband and I went to vote on a Saturday. I live in the panhandle, hillbilly heaven, anyways, we had the choice of paper ballot or touch screen. I chose paper, I turned it in and left the area before realizing I had left my keys on the voting stand. When I returned, the "office" workers were looking at my ballot, along with my husbands. Four people gathered around the desk, their backs were to me. The lady had my keys in her hand while reading it. I know it was mine because the right corner was bent making it hard to scan, along with the fact there were no other people in there besides me and DH. I called them on it and they didn't even deny it. I called the supervisor of elections the following Monday, it was basically brushed aside. I even called our local paper but they're farther right than Dobson so....

They ARE going to try and steal this thing AGAIN. We HAVE to overwhelm the polls with people who refuse to leave until they have voted, no matter what the weather or wait.

I just have to say it, what difference does it make if there's a paper trail if you pass a law that says you can't manually recount the votes?

Also, optical scan machines are not the "latest technology." I know Minnesota's been using them for at least 10.

10. This is so laughable it hurts. How does FL solve the problem of recounting?

Just make a law that you can't recount the paper.

Run it thru the machines again.

Supposedly if the machine counts the paper differently the second time, then the machines gave an erroneous result the first time?????? So we should trust the machine?
