Does Hagee think Todd Palin is ‘worse than an infidel’?

On MSNBC this morning, McCain campaign spokesperson Tucker Bounds touted the fact that Todd Palin is a “stay-at-home-dad.” Interestingly, radical cleric and erstwhile McCain endorser Rev. John Hagee insists that, in the Lord’s eyes, a stay-at-home-dad is “a bum” who is “worse than an infidel.” “Hell is your future home,” Hagee says.

2. To be fair, he has some sort of oil industry job
and, by all accounts, makes a ton of money doing it.

Works for BP on the north slope... gets 3 or 4 months off every year to go fishing and "snow machine" racing (I thought they were snowmobiles).

3. Seems like a gold-bricking job, which might be equivalent to a bribe in some ways. Investigate?

5. Possibly, but I think he has had this job for quite a while.
it's not (I don't think) a white collar or management job.

4. I don't think he stays at home much. There is parental neglect of at least one child, it seems. . nt

6. Yes, I think he spends a lot of time at the North Slope
working for BP... months at a time (9 months out of the year). It's not something you would commute home from every day or possibly every week, even with your own float plane.

The National Enquirer might have a solid story after all (I didn't even think of how much time they would spend apart).

7. Job is week-on / week-off, but he gets huge chunks off for fishing and racing. Seems very plush. nt

8. So who cares what Hagee thinks?
Just bear in mind that the Religious Right is not monolithic. Some wackjobs are wackier than others.
