1. Being a VP candidate and not the top guy has freed Joe up
He gets to go to these different places and not feel like he has to sell himself as the top guy, he can tell a few stories, be more laid back about things. He's a new man. I've never seen Joe Biden happier or more on his game. When he said the line about enabling the people there, a few people went "ohhhhh." That's skill. Palin might get the headlines with her scandals, inexperience and sarcasm, but Joe is winning people over for Barack. Big plus.
