I posted this last year, but it's worth a repost. He tells some wondeful stories here.

1. Thanks for posting this.
I hope folks will take the time to watch this. He really comes acoss as a decent down-to-earth guy - comfortable in front of the camera, folksy and obviously concerned about the direction of the country. I think Americans will like this guy when they get a good look at him.

:patriot:

2. I agree -
the more you know him, the more you see what it is that makes him who he is. And he's a good man.

And LITERALLY down to earth. One of his neighbors was saying that she recently saw Joe and Jill out planting impatiens in their garden. Just like real people!

9. I read the other day
That he's one of the few non-millionaires in the senate. He's a dedicated public servant, I like that. I always thought it was cool how he rides Amtrak everyday. :)

7. Biden has grown on me in the last 3 years
The more I saw the more I liked. I disagree with certain things, like his Bankruptcy Bill vote etc, but overall, he's a wonderful public servant and a good guy. Plus, he is whip smart and I respect his intellect and knowledge.

16. He is the only DEM I forgive for the Bankruptcy Bill......
He represents Delaware, where most of these places are headquartered. He was just doing routine deal making for the benefit of his constituency that are employed for these companies in Delaware.. I DON'T forgive the other DEM's that ACTUALLY passed it and are in the pockets of the banks. Biden gets a pass from me for helping the folks back home. Same as I don't hold the Michigan reps for some of the things they do for the auto industry. It's all about brokering a good deal for the most folks. I know, it has been so long since most of us have seen that sort of deal making..

10. I agree
I think a person can quibble with his record and a few choices he's made in his life and public life, but he's a decent human being.

11. my Republican friend pointed it out to me last year
He was watching Letterman and caught this. We're from Montana, and he was overwhelmed how Mike Mansfield influenced Biden. Mansfield is a legend back home, plus my friend knows my grandfather was close friends with Mansfield, so he called me to talk about it. All in all, Biden comes off great here. Fantastic. And he's a wonderful storyteller.

6. We have a once in a lifetime chance now, right now - to change the direction of the world.
I believe the American public is ready. <- Very rough paraphrase of Biden from the interview.

Definitely worth watching!

Thanks for posting this Wetzelbill. :hi:

13. A storyteller to match McCain...
I love his stories, and if this is what it takes to catch the attention of some voters, then I think we have it made... I am a little uneasy that with all the talk of his "running on" too much, but I haven't seen any of that in the videos I have been watching this morning... Thanks to everyone who is putting them up... He seems like a charming man..!!!

Go Obama/Biden...!!!

14. I think pundits brand him like that because
They like quick, easy thoughtless answers. Especially Republicans and the weak-status quo conventional wisdom crowd. Biden is a quote machine and he's blunt, but he's authentic too. He might gaffe or talk for a longer time, but he's not a shameless slogan chanter either. These people, they just like to hear short quick BS answers, Biden actually has substance to him.
