8. One of my favorite sports stories.

He dragged the fight out way longer than he needed to, just to torture Ernie Terrell (who was the opponent in this fight, not Patterson :)), constantly calling him Uncle Tom and demanding that Terrell say Ali's new name all while making Terrell look like a fool in the ring - dancing around him, hurting him, mocking him, schooling him - but never going for the finish, like a cat with a mouse. Many thought it was cruel, humiliating and sadistic. But one thing was for sure: both Terrell and the world learned to respect Muhammad Ali - and his name.

Perhaps one day soon, from all corners of the nation, people will hold their heads high in respect as they shout the name of our new president. A name no less foreign-sounding than Ali's, and equally frightening to those who would dwell in the past. Yet both names give great hope to those that look to the future.

for some reason I had Terrell confused with the rabbit, not that they look anything like each other. On Obama if he just runs a good game against that old man he to will be yelling (but only in his heart) "What's my name fool?"
