2. nevermind i answered my own question

when shanahan attended UT here in austin he once got a security guard at the campus book store so pissed that the security guard hit him with a night stick. the incident was because shanahan wasn't wearing shoes which the bookstore required, and rather than just leave or put on the flip-flops he always carried in his backpack he started arguing and eventually got whacked.
the security guard was fired.

6. As I have understood it:

One team was arguing something along the lines of overly dominant and inherent white influence(or something to that effect) in the education system. I can be wrong abouot the specifics on that part.
They then used the other team excluding a black female judge from judging them as an example. The option of exclusion, as far as I understand it, is normal and within the rules.

Which the other team took exception to. Both in terms of whether it could be included or was reasonable - as far as I understand it. :)

(Thats the best understanding I got of it. :) )

Which sparked the "discussion".

Watching the actual debating was an eyeopener. Seems to be a speed reading competition more than anything else.

7. The black lady lost a quarter and he said he found a dime.

So she said it was probably her quarter, then he said it was two dimes and a nickel, and the she said she wanted to see it and he said he didn't have it and she said he did and that he probably put it down the back of his pants and he said to look and showed her that it wasn't there and then she really got mad and said he should just keep the quarter and he said it was two dimes and a nickel then she said his mama wore army boots and he said just to march on her mom's head and she said oh yeah and he said yeah............
Something like that, I think.
