On The O'Reilly Factor with John Kasich filling in, John Bolton going on about Russia wanting to put back together "the evil empire" without acknowledging the US's contributions to what's happened like arming Georgia, encouraging them to attack the disputed provinces, and that the US would not like Russian missiles in our back yard but we expect the Russians to be okay with them in theirs. He does admit one thing without meaning to though, and that is it is very likely this whole thing is over energy resources and another oil war timed to bolster the Presidential campaign of John McCain.

11. What does this say about our colleges? Especially the Ivy League schools?
Edited on Sat Aug-16-08 06:48 AM by bulloney
Corsi has a PhD and look at the shit he tries to pass off as "fact" in his book on Obama and his recent book on Kerry.

Bush has a Master's.

Many of our current and past leaders at the top of our federal government have Ivy League degrees. Judging from the product we get from these Ivy Leaguers, maybe they should knock the price of their tuition down a few notches. If you crank out shit, you shouldn't command such a high price.

Some of the biggest idiots I've dealt with were economists with PhDs. If common sense was cotton, you couldn't get enough from those clowns to make a T-shirt for a piss ant.

2. He reminds me of some muppet.
The muppet delivers nonsense, but it has the right tone. Yah, I don't know what the fuck this guy is saying, but he's, like, saying it in that tone. I like the tanks in the background. Also, I don't want to talk about "subliminals", about the naked chick in the ice of the glass of Jack Daniel's. I just want to talk about tanks in the background of a vid of some George W. Bush surrogate explaining a situation with that tone.

You'd almost think that there was a reasonable argument there, the thing is so professionally done.

3. McCAIN WOULD RATHER START A WAR THAN LOSE AN ELECTION
Neocons want another cold war to increase the war weapons industry. Reaping untold profits from our tax dollars on so called defense.

4. oh yah, that's where it's at. But McCain is obviously also suffering from senile dementia.
He clearly doesn't have a clue what the frackenburst he's saying from one moment to the next.

7. Send this asshole off to Georgia...or better yet, send this pathetic fascist pig to Iraq.
I get hot blood every time I see this jack ass, and when he opens his mouth, it's always the same chickenhawk mentality.

"We'll beat 'em bloody". What a f*cking idiot!

8. No question that Bolton is a douchebag of the first water, but . . .
I think we underrate Putin's ambitions at our peril. IMO, he has every intention of reassembling a substantial portion of the USSR in a new Greater Russia, and Georgia is on his short list.

He also knows that 1) the US is currently run by twits, fools, and thumb-fingered dolts who couldn't put together a coherent diplomatic response if their lives depended on it; that 2) we can't even rattle our sabres because we've used them all up in Iraq; 3) we can't achieve consensus in Europe because everyone with half a brain despises the current US administration, so there's unlikely to be a coordinated European response; and 4) that whoever wins in November is not going to be in a position for a year or more to even respond to whatever Russia chooses to do (unless it's McCain, who's crazy enough to do something really stupid if Putin rattles his chain -- but even McCain would be held back by his handlers).

This whole Georgia debacle highlights how much Bush has cost us with his mind-bogglingly foolish choices in office. It's not just trillions of dollars and tens of thousands of lives in Iraq; it's not just tax policies that have deformed the US's distribution of wealth; it's not just a regulatory climate that will lead to financial and technical failures of a thousand kinds; it's also a squandering of physical and diplomatic assets in such a profligate fashion that our ability to project our will (and occasionally we might legitimately want to do that) has been damaged beyond quick repair.

I'm not sure I'll see a return, in my lifetime, to the level of influence American had over world events prior to 2000.

10. Mikhail Gorbachev disagrees
and I have more respect for Gorbachev than any current or former living U.S. President, including President Gore.

15. Even if every word Gorbachev says is true . . .
It doesn't affect my opinion of Putin's ambitions. Multiple reports indicate that the separatists in both regions are being supported by Moscow, and the Georgian government has apparently reacted viciously and stupidly to provocation from within both breakawy territories.

Sounds like Putin is both ambitious and not-stupid, a combination we haven't seen a lot of in US politics of late.

9. If the Left had any counterpart to Bolton
then the Right would never, ever cease from a drumbeat of attack and character assassination.

Why then does the Left not make Bolton a HOUSEHOLD NAME synonymous with radical buffoonery? Bolton has enough egg-on-his-face to make him a LAUGHINGSTOCK. WHY isn't he?
