The Truth about Georgia gets censored again on TV. A reporter makes a comparison to the US reaction to 911 to Russia's reaction to Georgian attacks and the satellite feed drops off in the middle of his question. TV is censored every day and every hour but sometimes the censorship is plain to see.

DIGG it! http://digg.com/politics/The_Truth_about_Georgia_gets_censored_again_on_TV?OTC-ig

5. CBC which is now as bad as CNN - and it was cut at the source in the US.

From the DIGG comments

Its reaching here in Canada too. I was on the road and listening to Toronto's most prominent news radio station. It went something like this:

"Our sources from CNN..." and you know the rest of the story. So its not just the states folks.

I don't watch television anymore because of stuff like this but I'm sure its the exact same way with Canadian television. Corporate media sucks!

12. Why were people laughing in the background?
When the feed was dropped. and they switched back to the new talker, there was laughter. It just struck me as strange.

13. prolly just joking around in the booth... goes on all the time
in live theatre, and certainly in production facilties...

i'm amazed someone was aware enough to send it back to the anchor as quickly as they did once the feed was lost.

i doubt CBC was responsible for this.

16. more vagaries and non-sequitors, see this:
http://www.state.gov/secretary/rm/2008/08/108194.htm

QUESTION: Madame Secretary, many people in Washington would say what you did after 9/11 was very disproportionate to the threat and to the actual loss that you incurred. So the Russians are trying to ensure the security of their forces and their citizens and their peacekeepers. And they – they are moving, they are creating a buffer zone. What’s wrong with that? Why can’t you do this in --

SECRETARY RICE: I am not going to sit here and judge each Russian military operation. I am going to say that when you start bombing ports and threatening to bomb airfields and bombing a city like Gori and bringing troops in a flanking maneuver on the western flank of Georgia and tying up the main roads between Georgia – between Tbilisi and Gori, that’s well beyond anything that is needed to protect Russian peacekeepers. And that is why Russia is starting to face international condemnation for what it is doing.

This is not 1968 and the invasion of Czechoslovakia, where Russia can threaten its neighbors, occupy a capital, overthrow a government, and get away with it. Things have changed. And so, what Russia, I think, is seeing is that to the degree that this is about South Ossetia, about even Abkhazia, let’s accept that it is time to move the forces back. Let’s accept that it’s -- first to end the fighting, move the forces back to August 6th, and then have an international mediation to try to resolve these conflicts within the context of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.

I fully recognize that the people of South Ossetia and the people of Abkhazia have concerns, even grievances, and they can be addressed within international mediation. And the United States has stood very strongly for the proper treatment of minorities.

Not going to Judge, but immediate judges in terms of 1968 and international mediation...which in the case of Iraq, the U.S. ignored.
Not on attempt at making the comparison by the propoganda networks here in the U.S.

17. I suspect this was a legit loss of signal...
It looks suspicious but I doubt it. It was posted from CSPAN earlier and they had the same loss so if it was cut off it was the state department that did it but I doubt that they are that much in control of the propaganda feed plus they would want to show Condi putting down and marginalizing the question which is exactly what she did.

No, the media is certainly biased but this isn't the smoking gun.
