1. I am pretty open but that might be a bit much!
Did they really need to go that far? Maybe I am just a prude although I am not mad about it or anything. I think we should be open about these topics but this maybe pushes the limit.

2. Hmmm . . .
They certainly get your attention. I guess if that's the idea, they've nailed it.

Hahaha . . . no pun intended.

7. I feel like I have been optically molested.
These commercials are really just terrible. There is a need to get these messages out but we can't be making a joke out of these issues. These videos are complete jokes.

10. People have sex. Get over it already.
The sooner we start treating the subject in an open, mature manner the fewer problems we'll have.

15. There may be a method to their madness.
Having two young adults in the house, I know that they get messages from their friends to watch videos, and it is usually has a comment like "Look how lame this is" or "Gross" or "So stupid it's funny".

What they may be doing with these ads is to make them weird enough to get their target audience to watch them to see just how weird they really are. Of course at the same time, PP is getting their information across.

16. I think they're great! I especially enjoyed the one in which the kids tried to
joke their way out of serious message about HPV. It captured the attitude most kids have when the subject comes up, but also gets across the message that this is serious business.

Why are people afraid to talk about this if everyone assumes that kids are sexually active? That's crazier than the Victorians (supposedly) covering table legs!

17. True, the ad is awesome.
Time to get the prudes and religion out of sex. 15 and 17 year olds have sex. So what? Teach them how to be safe, and let them have their fun. It is human and natural. Human beings are sexual creatures....to try and put up a wall to stop that is silly. If we made condoms and birth control free and anonymous in public schools, we would have alot less in the way of problems.

My teenagers are both sexually active, and I am very happy to let them do it....so to speak.

18. I think the commercial makes fun of the fact that it's the very 15 and
17 year olds who are having sex who are prudes when it comes to talking about sex. "It's OK as long as we can both tell ourselves that we were swept away by passion and didn't plan for it to happen".

19. Maybe true. We need real and open sex education in schools.
If the parents are too afraid of sex, then the schools should fill in the gap. It is unrealistic to make rules and laws to stop kids from doing what they are going to do anyway. Teach them and trust them to use birth control. If we take puritan shame away, that would improve the situation mightily.

20. I don't think Puritan shame is the problem. More like middle class hypocrisy.
It's OK if we were just swept away, and if we were prepared with protection that would mean we planned it, so let's not have any protection handy!

22. There are methods of after-sex birth control
You can protect yourself after sex....provided you know about it and have access.

Morning after pills and, of course as a last resort, abortion. But we we offer day after pills at the pharmacy, that will reduce the hated "abortions" nicely.

23. I don't see the problem with these ads. What's bothering Cenk?
At age 64 with no grandchildren, I don't have the slightest idea what would actually SPEAK to teenagers right now, but I don't see these as offensive or somehow over the line.
