7. Holy crap, that music was bad

A little background: I'm a white guy with a degree in Spanish, and during my time kicking around grad school at Oklahoma State University, I learned a lot about dancing and Latin music from the university's Latin Dancing and Cultural Club to the point that I could dance salsa as well as anyone and could competently take a shift DJ'ing at the dances, and if I put that on, I would have a dance floor of Latinos turning towards the DJ table and yelling at me.

I don't know what song that was or what group, but the people on McCain's team must be so incredibly White that they think anything with drums in it will get the hot-blooded Latinos up cha-cha-cha'ing. This would be another gaffe if the MSM were going after McCain's gaffes more aggressively, and they had a correspondent well-versed in Latino culture.

10. Some democratic Latino voter needs to suggest that to McCain

Having the Macarena play would be as bad if not worse than that song. One of my fellow DJs in the club put that on as a joke, and I've never seen a dance floor clear that fast. I was actually in Mexico in 1994 when that song started making it big, and it was played a lot in the discotecas, but no one was doing that stupid line dance.

Will put out a Spanish ad in Florida to appeal to all the Cubans, Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans there and either have Tejano music playing, or they will have a recording of a mariachi band playing the song, "Guadalajara."
