2. I love my country. I hate the abuse by the few over the many.

This country has stepped on a lot of toes. I can see people having a hard time with loving her. I also can see people who love her so much, that they are blinded by their patriotism. Balance. I love our constitution. The more I learned about our founding fathers, the more I have had difficulty with buying the whole great men creating a great society myth. Our founding fathers were a group of wealthy men. They manipulated much of the population to try to get their way. There are some good aspects about our constitution, but the checks and balances are not their to prevent the few from dominating over the rest of us, which is an abrogation of the intent of the Constitution.

well, they are supposed to do just that. They are currently not working because this administration has dis-empowered the 3 arms of govt system. congress has not power to exert oversight over the exec branch right now, and unless they impeach they will never have it again. Those days are gone -- but that isn't because of the way the constitution was written. We are not currently living the govt our founding fathers created. They were, in fact, responding to many of the problems we identify as having now when they wrote the constitution. No one person was supposed to have the power to send us to war. No one person was supposed to rule without limits. Absolute power corrupts absolutely and here we have it.

John McCain's statement here is no different than what Michelle Obama said. The MSM behave like ignorant children chasing the balls the GOP throw into the air, never asking the questions a real journalist would ask. such as, is it relevant, what is the criteria against which we judge this, what is the meaning or intent of the accusation? Now, those would be interesting topics. Here's one: No one asks what the race card is. But if you look it up, it clearly says one has to stand to win something in order to be accused of playing it. What does Obama stand to win? NOTHING. Therefore, it is an inaccurate accusation-- more typical GOP/Rove tactics of accusing the other side of what you yourself are doing. Bully 101 for dummies.

Does the MSM ask this simple question? No. Why???? They are not doing their jobs. Either they are ignorant beyond belief and should be fired for not being fit to talk to the public or they are not doing their jobs. Either way, it is a scandal. They are no better than Jerry Springer, chasing ratings around and using violence, bullying, abuse, humiliation and ignorance to get them. SHAME on you, MSM.
