2. only some in the press?
I think almost all of the press is covering for his ass. Only the liberal media (nation, MSNBC, and Democrazy Now) really reports on him, while the rest just post a story and never follow up, unless it's so hot/dumb they can't not avoid it (Tax flip flop, Reverend-gate, Iseman-gate).

4. A problem with mccain's autobiography
is that he (mccain) may not have really written it. Just read an article about him and it states that his books were partly (?) written by his 'aide'. I will post the link to the article, "The Curious Mind of John McCain", just be aware that I am putting a :puke: alert on it.
