In the first part of the video, when he feels the Canadian interrogator may be someone who has come to help, he is calmer. Then there is static and footage from the second day starts. A barely coherent and miserable man sobs uncontrollably, while the belligerent and patronizing interrogator tries to wrestle information from him in the "limited time" they have. He describes his horrific injuries and his lack of medical attention, and pleads to go back to Canada... while his interrogator smirks about the "nice weather" in Cuba.

1. Unbelievable.
Honestly I think the inquisition was more humane, and at least they had an excuse.

to my son. (Or anyone else's son or daughter.

And I don't believe in murder. Or the death penalty.

But fifteen years old is still a child. And this is unforgivable.

3. is Omar saying Kill Me, Kill Me, Kill Me over and over
that's what it sounds like to me.

www.cbc.ca/news has a link to 9:54 minutes of mostly static and this child saying what sounds like kill me repeatedly when he is alone.

It also sounds like he is saying he lost his eyes, arms. I am hearing this right?

6. He lost his eye

Also, I read this on the CBC website: http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2008/07/15/khadr-tapes.html

"Then Khadr begins sobbing with his head in both his hands, chanting over and over again in a haunting voice. His words are difficult to hear, and at first could be taken for "Kill me" or "Help me."

However, Arabic speakers working at CBCNews.ca say the teenager appears to be keening "Ya ummi," which is Arabic for "My mother." (Asked about it after the video was released, Khadr lawyer Nathan Whitling told reporters: "Your guess is as good as mine.")"

4. I pretty sure this is the tame version
yet you can tell the kid is 'broken'. How proud cheneybush must be to be the instrument of depriving so many human beings of their sanity and dignity. It makes me a monster just like them because I wish they could undergo the same type of treatment. The whole thing is heartbreaking and gut wrenching at the same time. This is not the America I was brought up in. We stand for nothing now but more money for the already rich.

5. Canadian shame....
Are we beasts? Are we psychopaths? A fair trial in an international court would have been acceptable. How much would this 15 year old really know? I don't doubt that Canada has a pretty soft reputation with this crowd of bloodthirsty primitive Jihadis, and he may well have thought he could be taken home quickly and been given a slap on the wrist, but Canada is not a country of bloodthirsty, primitive Jihadis. Upon finding out that they had a Canadian citizen in custody, the Liberal Party at the time should have said to the US 'hold it right there...we're sending a minder to watch what you do.' But, as time passed and the new government of neo-con Stephen Harper came to power, they should have said 'ok, give him back and we'll find him a jail cell.' But no, we had to show how tough we can be, while at the same time show just how inhumane we can be. I have not much compassion for Khadr or his family, but I do have a sense of humanity that says 'we don't act this way.' Shame on us...Harper so badly wants to be an American, I wish he'd just go and be gone. He's just not one of us.

7. Thanks, but no thanks. We have enough of heartless inhumane idiots here now. We don't want
the ones we have. We surely don't want more of them.
