5. Perhaps he wants to be back on the good side
with his in-laws. Not to speak with his wife and children who back Obama.

2. So whose the flip flopper now?
Arnold seems to sway with the political winds and talks a big talk. He won't do the only thing that is needed to get this big change in infrastructure and to fund alternative energies and that is to raise taxes on the ultra-rich Californians, who are not paying their fair share, and the behemouth corporations that are robbing this state and this country blind. He would rather cut out social programs and veto health care for everyone because he might upset those very institutions that are destroying our state.

Fuck you Arnold and the elephant you rode in on.

4. Why?
Arnold has always been pretty solid on environmental issues. Just because he has an R after his name does not , in fact, make him an enemy.

6. R is always the enemy. Never forget.
Also, Arnold is only coming to this environment thing recently. He openly bought and bragged about his Hummers back when many of us were trying to get gas guzzlers off the road. He even did commercials for them. He vetoed a health plan that was petitioned, voted on by the citizenry and passed by both houses of the California legislature. The fact is this would have been the beginning of getting the homeless off the streets and getting health care to the uninsured and underinsured. Since when is ignoring the health of the general public environmental? Even the ancient Roman emperors understood that clean water and public baths that were available to everyone was crucial to keeping the population from acquiring and spreading plague. Just because Arnold is good at making himself look like he's doing something, doesn't mean it's getting done. I live in a coastal area that has been subject to environmental disasters from Unocal and politicians who never met a developer they didn't like. These are Arnold's friends. He has been part of the developer problem in Santa Monica. I mean really, you have to have followed his career to see he's hardly this painted environmental saint in spite of what he says.

8. Arnold talks big about the environment. He knows he
ought to do something, but he doesn't really do what he admits he knows he should do. Why? Because he is afraid to raise the taxes of his rich friends. It is really sad.

As an irrelevant aside, what is with his face? He appears to be wearing a mask. His expression almost never changes. It's very strange. And to think, he used to have such an interesting face.

13. Nothing new here . . . .
Typical politician . . . says what he needs to say when he's in trouble. Now that California is afire possibly partly due to cutbacks in park services and other environmental programs he concerned.
