10. I am speechless.
This should be required viewing for everyone. Particularly the traitors in D.C. who sent us into this lie.

12. It left me floored and teary-eyed. That is a great man.
What a SHAM of a human, what a waste of flesh we have in the White House.

It sickens me that Bush has the lives of people like Lt. Watada in his slimy, shaking, hands.

9. The Lt's speech
Wow, i was moved to tears several times. Does anyone have an
address or email to send the Lt messages of support.
Having been in my teens during the Vietnam war, i remember
asking my Dad why we were over there, and him replying "I
don't know". He served in WW II and now i have a son
serving in the Marines, been to Iraq once, going again. I
didn't raise my son to die for a government that is full of
crap. We the people need to speak out!

14. My husband just watched it. He walked over to me crying.
Edited on Wed Feb-07-07 12:20 PM by Chalco
He said "What can we do? We have to work, we have to get by. What can we do?"

I said "Watada gave his life for us. We have to do something."

16. Thanks for being so insistent.
I watched the whole video. It's the first I've ever heard him speak. Very moving and inspirational, and very sad.

From what I've heard and read, it's likely that, after the trial, it will be deemed necessary to remove this honorable and brave young man from society and keep him in a cage for at least a couple years. I just don't know how to express how tragic and insane this is. This man is nothing less than a hero. Nothing less.

I hope to God that someday this administration receives the justice it so richly deserves. I despair of that ever happening however. Almost all of our congressional leadership is guilty of craven cowardice and self-interest in allowing this evil administration full reign to do anything they wanted. To bring this administration to FULL justice would require admitting how they were bullied into submission. To save their status they allowed the destruction of another country, the utter waste of immense treasure, and the complete trashing of this country's noble reputation. To save their status, they did the unforgivable, they allowed the deaths of hundreds of thousands and ruined the lives of at least twice that number. They could have been noble, they could have been leaders and done the right thing, but they didn't. They didn't because they were afraid for themselves. They will never, ever, admit to this, and for that reason, this administration will never receive full justice for what it has done. I could say virtually the same thing about the majority of the MSM as well.

I'm not religious, but God bless Lt. Ehren Watada. I chose Martin Luther King as my avatar. He was a hero and a patriot, and I have no doubt that, if he was still living, we'd be seeing pictures and videos of him standing right beside Lt. Watada.

and I'm kicking it with tears rolling.

Sent link to my congress critters, Wyden and Smith, also to my reps.
Poli-sci prof friend at the local college got a link hoping he'll show it

Please get this out there.

41. I just finished listening
to this great speech, and it is up there for sure with the great ones. This needs to passed on to others, send it to your email lists etc. It's long and a lot will not have the time to listen but even if just a few do what he says will spread. It would be great if he could one day be elected to some office, we need someone with his voice, his values. What a real American he is.
