BOTH BUSH AND MCCAIN OPPOSE THE FAIR PAY RESTORATION ACT
"John McCain just has it wrong. He said the Fair Pay Restoration Act 'opens us up to lawsuits for all kinds of problems.' But I can't think of any problem more important than making sure that women get equal pay for equal work. It's a matter of equality," Obama told a group of working women in New Mexico.
Obama remarked that he will:
-Support the Fair Pay Restoration Act
-Expand the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit
-Double funding for After School Programs
-Invest 10 billion in quality, affordable, early childhood education
-Dramatically increase the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) including requiring paid leave.
-Pass a Middle Class Tax Cut of $1000 for every working family
John McCain not only opposes the Fair Pay Restoration Act, he believes that Roe v. Wade, which grants a woman's right to choose, should be overturned.
