I am beyond excited that he is going to be the next president. What a 180 degree turn from the previous 8 years of embarrassment.

Does anyone know where and when that speech was given? I thought it was the one in Atlanta in January, but after watching the whole thing, I don't think it is.

3. Wow! Now that is something we can, and must, all believe in.

That our beliefs about God, our religions are different, that is what we agree about. Is spent a lot of time (and I mean virtually all the time) with religious people when I was a child. And no two people told me exactly the same thing about their religious beliefs. As Obama explained, we each experience things, see things, differently, so even when we use the same language to talk about God we are not talking about the same God, yet those of us who believe in God don't believe in exactly the same concept of God. (And that goes for those who believe in a Goddess or gods and Goddesses.)

And some of the most wonderful people I know are Buddhist, and I don't understand what they believe at all, so Obama is really right.

9. I have been wondering for years..

why anyone with common sense cannot understand the points he was making. I do not see why some so called evangelist can't see that what republicons say on so many levels does not relate to the bible.

I also have never understood how people really believe that this is a christian nation with all of the lies,crimes and injustices that have been perpetrated by this country and that have been proven incorrect.

I have never understood how we can be just a christian nation when we have so many religions and non religions in this country. Everytime election season comes for president I watch as the Cons come out with the same old tricks from the same old bag and people keep falling for it.
