1. Thank you. I wanted this link so much.
We should keep clips of this horrible cr@P so we can put them right up into the faces of the opposition when they try to deny their bs.

Thanks again.

3. Why is Abrams giving this racist air time?? Therein is the problem, providing
the bully pulpit to spout this stuff.
Why not invite someone who will talk substance instead?
Abrams, when not tooting his own horn, is in the sewer.

14. Abrams is a scumy puppet for the corporation, remember his Hour long
Special about Obama and Rev Wright that got played about 5 times the weekend before the NC, IN primaries. Well the following monday the spinless twit didn't even bother to show all the emails that the show got blasting him for that show.

I personally sent a beautiful letter to him, detailing exactly what I thought about him and his show for running that BS the weekend before the Primaries.

They keep him on a short leash, and have taught him to only speak in talking points.

24. And why does buchanan get the last word.
a**hole times three for all the men. This is one time that the women on screen truly out classed the men. Exotic!!!!!!!!! Code word for not white.

Up until only recently the practice was that while white women models/actresses were called beautiful and sexy, women of color model/actresses were referred to as exotic. It implyed that they were different, wild, unusual, and desirable much like a wild animal is. Think of what animals are called exotic and typically they come from Africa, India and other such places in the world. JMHO

18. Blogosphere Boycott
OK bloggers, let's do this. Take three minutes out of each day and watch a commercial segment on Faux News. List every product that is advertised durring that segment.
Now, go to your blog and post that list of products and encourage all your reader to boycott those products.
What if lots and lots of bloggers began doing that? Would advertisers begin pulling out of Faux News (like Bill O'Reily's father should have done with his mother)?

List Faux News advertisers and urge a boycott of their products!!!

ALSO, I vote that from now on ---Cindy Mccain be referred to as John's "Pill-Poppin thing on the side" (just joking) but really, can you imagine Cindy being referred to in such a disrespectful way? Even though she was running around with McCain while his wife and mother of his 3 children was laying at home crippled?

23. Who the hell said Tanya needed "a white woman" to stand up for her
The point that most observers would get from the post was that Rachel usually does an exceptional job at slamming Buchanan back into his cage. Rachel doesn't allow herself to be shouted down.

I would agree that Tanya did reasonably well, but the poster made no reference to race nor to Tanya needing anyone standing up for her.

15. "you run your little campaign and we'll run ours" -- that's an encouraging remark
indicating cluelessness about Obama (empty suit) and his "little campaign"

This is the account of the battle between David and Goliath given in 1 Samuel, chapter 17:<1>

Saul and the Israelites are facing the Philistines at Socoh in Judah. Twice a day for forty days Goliath, the champion of the Philistines, comes out between the lines and challenges the Israelites to send out a champion of their own to decide the outcome of the battle in single combat, but Saul and all the Israelites are afraid. David is present, bringing food for his older brothers. He is told that Saul has promised to reward any man who will defeat the Philistine champion, and declares he is not afraid.

Saul reluctantly agrees and offers his armour, which David declines in favour of his sling and five stones which he takes from the brook.

David and Goliath confront each other, Goliath with his armour and shield-bearer, David with his staff and sling. "And the Philistine cursed David by his gods", but David replies: "This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down, and cut off your head; and I will give the dead bodies of the host of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, and that all this assembly may know that Yahweh saves not with sword and spear; for the battle is Yahweh's, and he will give you into our hand."

David then strikes Goliath with a stone from his sling, and the Philistine falls on his face to the ground. David seizes the sword of the giant and kills him, and cuts off his head. The Philistines flee and are pursued by the Israelites "as far as Gath and the gates of Ekron".

...or maybe the gates of ENRON?

No question it was a coded reference to Obama's color.

26. To be truthful
I think it goes further than color even. I think it is a code word for Africa. Pat is saying: Obama's father was African. He is more African than American. If you elect him we will be supporting Africa.

It is the same way they said that if Kennedy was elected he would be ruled by Rome and the pope. If they cannot fight the candidate and his policies, then they will say that he is not as "American" as the rest of us.

Someone posted an article the other day by someone calling for Obama to make a speech about the deaths of African women dying in childbirth (or something like that) and I thought that was something that he should not do, not now. I heard during the primary people posting that Barack is too connected to Africa and that if elected our government's money will be going to his cousins there. The idiots that believe this tripe does not need any fuel from us to add to this fire. Pat with his 'exotic' statements will do this enough.

28. Not in the same way. I doubt Pat would have referred to Kennedy as "exotic"
I agree that the "exotic" implication goes beyond skin color, but that is the largest component. (along with "Africa", "Hussein", "mixed-race parentage", "crazy black preacher", etc)

29. I did not say that he would refer
to Kennedy as 'exotic'. Kennedy had no connection to Africa. He would have referred to him as something connected to Rome or the Catholic church. The connection I was purposing between Barack and Kennedy was that in both cases people accused them of having loyalties that would come before the US. They said that Kennedy would bow down to the pope, they say that Barack will put Africa's interest before those of the US. Because they are the first, they are attacked for being different than the ones who came before.

I didn't mean to contradict you in your original post, only that it goes further than color because in this way Pat not only indicates Barack is different (not white) but also that he is not 'American'. He is not only sending out the message to the white racist but to anyone who holds onto to the 'us against them' mentality. Even groups that are not WASP can be touched with this message and he can always claim (stupidly) that it is not a racist remark. Latte drinker indeed...who ever called a latte drinker exotic....such a ditz. ;)

30. I understand your point; we are missing the codeword equivalent for "exotic" ...
... that was applied to Kennedy, unless they were so bold as to literally say that Kennedy would be beholden to the Vatican and not the voters.

That being said, Buchanan and his ilk don't need to make the link to Africa and "alternative allegiances" in the case of Obama, since there may be enough people who only need to be reminded of his skin color. We shall see, and I look forward to being very wrong.

(Yes, left wing liberal is synonymous with "exotic." What a weak rationalization.)
