3. I was just going to say that!
Edited on Thu May-01-08 01:08 AM by TwoSparkles
I was thinking---Yeah, right--are these the same people who showed up to
protest the Florida re-count?

Turns out they were hired goons.

I really would not be surprised if that was the case here.

Nothing shocks me anymore when it comes to...well, you know who.

30. Thurman Was Publicly SILENT, However Thurman IS Responsible! KT Takes FULL CREDIT. Watch Her!
Here is Florida Democratic Party Chair Karen L. Thurman FIRST : Taking FULL Credit For Instigating this DEBACLE for the Presidential Primary (She was for months working to "FIXFLORIDA" fer Hillary)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORQZ6iZw1DU

Then:

Thurman calls Republican Governor Charlie Crist.. "A DEMOCRAT AND WE SHOULD SUPPORT HIM!"

ALLLL the while the controversy was developing in Tallahassee Thurman STOOD SILENTLY on the sidelines and let the stinking vote to change the primary vote w/o even a whisper... and Geller and others mocked the DNC rules while doing so.... This was a conspiracy by the Dems many of whom are better characterized as Republicans to "HIJACK" Florida fer Hillary!

But ya'll can make up yer own opinion, but that IS WHAT occurred! This IS Fundamental as to WHY Florida has been coming up as a WEAK link in electoral politics... think 2000... THINK 2004.... and NOW THINK 2008! Because of the FDP "Leedership" political ranks, registered as Democrats but acting unmistakably as REPUBLICANS that America is SUFFERING under Republican RULE! then :puke:

She tries to dance around taking Republican $$$$... $3,500/month from former Florida Repub. Party Chair Al Cardenas! More EVIDENCE AS TO WHY Florida Is A LOSER fer Democrats! :puke:

5. I think the Florida voters should be disenfranchised so BO can falsely 'win' the nomination.
And will those same disenfranchised voters vote AGAINST the candidate, in the GE, that took away their right to vote AND BE COUNTED in the primary.

41. A link to the story ...
... that Hillary refused to sign the pledge? Obviously, it doesn't exist.

She didn't 'remember' how unfair it would be if votes in FL and MI weren't counted until she realized she desperately needed them.

Clinton Campaign Statement on the Four State Pledge

The following is a statement by Clinton Campaign Manager Patti Solis Doyle.

"We believe Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and South Carolina play a unique and special role in the nominating process.

And we believe the DNC’s rules and its calendar provide the necessary structure to respect and honor that role.

Thus, we will be signing the pledge to adhere to the DNC approved nominating calendar."

http://www.hillaryclinton.com/news/release/view/?id=3134

Funny how the "fighter" Hillary wasn't fighting for FL & MI Democrats when the party made the rule. Now after she wins the primaries of those states where the other candidates didn't campaign and weren't even on the ballot in some cases, she wants to change the rules. It's nothing but a self-serving manipulation of the election process also known as cheating. It's a dishonest and cynical ploy and had she not won in these states she would be fighting hard to keep them excluded from the process.

9. Are they finally pissed off about 2000? Good for them! It's a shame they didn't do it sooner!
Those Florida voters have a major delayed action.

Maybe in 8 years they will get pissed of at their state party for not holding a legitimate 2008 primary election. They will probably invite Edwards and Kucinich, and Biden and Dodd and Obama and Hillary to campaign in their state in 2016!

10. Hillary wants those delegates. She doesn't care about suffrage. She just wants the delegates
Actually, what she really wants is the superdelegates from FL and MI, seeing as how that would pad any small advantage she would get from winning the pledged delegates in those states.

My own feeling is that we should seat uncommitted delegations from those two states. Let the candidates make their case to the delegates. Their votes will be up for grabs. But I regard the January 15 and 29 primaries to be illegitimate.

11. peskyprimaries
Imagine the unmitigated gall of those plebeians. Howard Dean, Ted Kennedy and the other patres conscripti know what is best for democracy in America, and anybody that keeps harping about the founding fathers and their warnings about political parties subverting the voting franchise and its role in the republic is spending a suspicious amount of time actually reading things like the Federalist papers.

13. Jon Stewart said it wonderfully
About a week ago. He showed Hillary Clinton in January talking about how she trusted the American voters to make the right decision. Then Jon Stewart cut to another video where she was kind of dissing the voters, and Stewart talked about how those darn leverpullers violated her trust by not voting for her.

21. Let them vote and be part of the process.
At the convention change the "party rules" to have primary elections all on the same day. That way small and big states won't feel more or less privilege. Have the primaries four months prior to the election. It would be cheaper and less stressful for everyone.

No Super Delegates since they are not elected or still in office. One vote for each delegate sent there by their districts.

Why can't Dems get their act together? They screw up election after election on purpose? Get new leadership.

12. Didn't you get the memo?
Politico.com has already reported that most superdelegates have decided. They've even informed the campaigns of their decision, and more of them chose Obama. It's already over. Now coalesce behind Obama as the presumptive nominee or go over to the Johnny "100 Year War" McCain.

37. You're just not thinking about this with extra-special Hillary logic.
Just because those people didn't vote because they didn't think it would count doesn't mean that the ones that did vote just in case it might count should be discounted because maybe they thought that it would count somehow in the future and by counting the ones that voted we are really making all Floridians happy because it's just like a normal election again except for the ones that didn't vote because they didn't think it would count but there probably weren't that many of them anyway so let's just count the ones that did vote since those people actually voted so we know their votes are the real thing so they should be counted and then it will seem just like a normal Florida
election.

See? :)
