1. I wish I could recommend this 20 times.
Excellently put, and so missing in the views of today's GOP.

3. Five years, $7 trillion, hundreds of thousands dead lives too late.
But I did appreciate hearing a Republican with apparently wiser, saner experience in Congress give a constitutional lesson about Congress's role.

"Party loyalty doesn't trump the Constitution."

Welcome to DU, marias23. :toast:

4. It's about Goddamned time somebody said that to them.

Their unblinking partisan loyalty to Bush, placed before loyalty to Country, is going to BUGGER this country for years to come.

That guy's right; a capitulating congress is about the worst thing imaginable.

6. Thank you Mr. Edwards.
It is never too late.

Congress needs to be made ashamed of its self and I mean both parties.

We may have just seen the "have you no shame moment" of the Bushian/congressional attempt to negate or surrender the responsibility of powers under the Constitution.

We had that tea party and that Revolution to be rid of one King George. Maybe it's tea time.

One never knows what small act will cause the chain of events that cause a revolution. Even a revolution of ideas.

10. Good for him for telling it like it should be, not like it is. Maybe a
Republican coming out with that important reminder about country and Constitution over President and party will affect a few GOPers. It is hardly likely to change many of their "moranic" mentalities.
