1. This is outstanding & eye opening. I saw it some years back.
Chomsky is a delight to the conscience.

2. Yes. Many aspects of the systems he {and the film} analyzes have only gotten worse/consolidated
For instance, in the early 90s when this was made, there were approx forty corporations running the media. Now there is five, which = one point of view of "reality" to sell and suggest to the collective consciousness.

3. He is so beautifully articulate. I was actually profoundly affected when I saw it.
Thank you, again, for posting the link, I think I'll watch it again, and send it to others who still believe what they read in the news. After watching the original video, I wrote to him at MIT and had a really thoughtful and personal response from him. In my list of people I'd like to sit down and have a conversation with, he's close to the top. A beautiful mind.

4. I've e-mailed with him a few times also. Amazing that someone...
In his position is so dedicated to taking the time to interact with others on that level when he could easily choose to ignore. Chomsky, and Herbert Marcuse, along with a variety of existentialists I've read, were of considerable influence on me as I became aware during my formative twenties. Chomsky can lay the prevailing human systems out in a manner that makes the nuts and bolts of it all, the hows and whys, easier to understand.

Here's as good as any place to start with Chomsky: Understanding Power
