1. I've heard they're wonderful, but have never been myself.
Everyone I know who's been wants to do it again!

2. A good friend of mine did one
about 3 months ago and said it was something everyone should do before they die, so that sounds like a pretty good recommendation to me.

3. Me too
I have a friend who takes alot of cruises. I plan to ask him about the best cruise line and start from there. I don't know where you are, but Amtrak has a 2 for 1 northwest special going on too. I'm thinking we might catch the Amtrack to Vancouver and then go roundtrip from there. This is my sister's idea, so it's dependent on whether she decides to go too. But I've heard it is a beautiful trip.

4. I've been - Inside Passage, at least

Juno, Ketchikan, Skagway, Glacier Bay. Royal Caribbean - Masdaam (just fine).

Advice: Spend the extra $$$ for the shore excursions. Take the helicopter ride in Skagway. Go to Misty Fjiords if you stop in Juno. Also - best free entertainment - wildlife viewing from the ship (bring BINOCULARS). Don't waste your time playing Bingo, when there are humpbacks swimming around & grizzlys on shore.

Glacier Bay: Record your expericence with a VIDEO camera (as opposed to a still). Trust me on this one.

Edit: The Smaller cruise ships were able to get much closer to the action in Glacier Bay. It was still awesome from a mile away, so I can only imagine.
