Anybody been on a European cruise? I don't just mean around the
Mediterannean, but on the Rhine, Danube, Seine, other rivers?

3. I've been seeing more and more of that sort of cruises. I can see
one advantage of it in that you're sleeping on the cruise ship night after night so don't have to repack and have your suitcases out every morning. Other than that, how do you think it compares to a traditional tour as far as price is concerned? Do you think it's more expensive?

4. It was a little bit more expensive, but worth every cent...
I did a two week bus tour with Insight and then went and did the cruise. I hated being confined on a bus with a bunch of people, one or two I really took a dislike to, and it sucked having to go places I wasn't interested in like the Vatican.

With the cruise all meals were included, and there was no getting up ultra early to get on a bus. The boat was big enough that I could steer clear of people who were pains in the arses (like the loud, obnoxious American who wore on of those Republican pins)...
