NLRB regional director rejects paper’s allegation (Graphics Communications Conference, my old union)

I was GAU (AFL-CIO) before the merger that made it the GAIU. It then became a trustee under the teamsters.

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) dismissed a charge filed by the Santa Barbara News-Press that contended two union supporters interfered with delivery services.

Saying there was “insufficient evidence,” NLRB officials on Thursday dismissed the claim against the Teamsters’ Graphics Communications Conference, according to a letter from NLRB Regional Director James J. McDermott.

The paper’s owner claimed that two union supporters and former reporters interfered with newspaper delivery people on Santa Barbara city property in September.

The paper can appeal dismissal, the NLRB said.
