DU a poll: change the law to make union membership non-mandatory? (Mi)
Edited on Mon Aug-08-11 06:18 PM by Omaha Steve

Right side under the calendar: http://www.allegannews.com/

Talk continues in MI about the possibilities of misleadingly-named “Right-to-Work” laws, which are really a blatant attack on unions and on the state’s working families.

Please vote NO! Let’s make it clear that anti-union proposal is not what Michigan needs. Please go to www.allegannews.com to make your voice heard against this proposal today and tomorrow (it closes at 4pm Tuesday). It’s on the right side of the page under the calendar.

Should the county commissioners tell state legislators to change the law to make union membership non-mandatory?

A. Yes. Right to Work is a freedom our commissioners should be proud to support.

B. No. The county has no business politicking on this statewide issue; it is just a thinly veiled attack on unions anyway.

Current #'s: A. Yes. Right to Work is a freedom our commissioners should be proud to support. (204 Votes, 28%)

B. No. The county has no business politicking on this statewide issue; it is just a thinly veiled attack on unions anyway.
(512 Votes, 72%)
