Worker dies at University of Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — The University of Iowa said Monday that a construction worker died after an accident while working to restore a flood-damaged art building.

UI spokesman Tom Moore said the worker was pronounced dead at the scene Monday. He said the worker was employed by a private contractor, and the worker’s name was being withheld pending notification of family members.

1. By an art building, near a pond, where they were constructing a temporary retaining wall.
I'll never forget a story in the Tulsa World some years ago about some workers who were ordered to get back to work in a ditch they working in into which some green stuff had started to collect, one guy refused and lived to tell the tale, one went to the hospital and another died.
