A David City egg processing plant faces another federal lawsuit over its hiring and firing practices.

Jody Kopecky's lawsuit in U.S. District Court says she was dismissed from Henningsen Foods in August 2006 so the company could fill her position with a Hispanic worker.

Her filing comes a week after the company reached a settlement with two former employees who said they had been wrongfully dismissed and that the company violated immigrant employment laws. Attorneys in those cases have declined to release details of the agreement.

The 53-year-old Kopecky is seeking unspecified damages, including pay for lost wages and benefits. She's seeking a jury trial.

A message left for a company spokesman wasn't immediately returned.
