Police raid union offices across Iraq - call for urgent help

Iraq's unions are once again under attack, with union offices across the country raided by police this week.

Those unions have asked all of us to take a moment to send off a quick message of protest to the Iraqi government - click here: http://www.labourstart.org/cgi-bin/solidarityforever/show_campaign.cgi?c=740

Please do so today -- and then share this message with your networks.

Have a great weekend.

Eric Lee

1. Has a police department anywhere proven itself to be sympathetic to a union?
Anywhere? Anytime? Not unless it's their OWN union, that is. Ask anyone with union experience beyond paying dues & filing the occasional grievance, and you'll find little evidence that a police department is your friend.
